Registration reopened with $15.00 Late Fee until 10 June 2025 receive updates ! Your child must be turning 5 by June 1, 2023 to play. We have two categories 5,6,7,8,9 age group & 10 & up age group. We play at Benjamin Tasker Middle School 2 days a week per age group.

No Practice or Game on 4 July 2023. Our tentative schedule Mondays and Wed. 6:00pm-7:00 p.m.   Subject to change.

Thank you for your interest in BBGC's Intramural Flag Football Program.

This will be a 6-week program (commitment is 2-days a week; one week day for practice and Saturday for games) from April 5th-May 10th. This spring program will be a great segue into the 6U Flag Program for the fall. Our intent to field several kids which will allow us to formulate multiple teams giving the plays and opportunity to develop and compete within the organization.

The tentative schedule is below, with the first practice being held on Saturday, April 5th: 

Saturday's: 12:00PM - 1:15 PM

Tuesday's: 6:30PM - 7:45 PM

The location for both days will be White Marsh Park in Bowie MD.

Attire: Athletic wear, cleats(soccer cleats are fine), mouthpiece and water.

Spring Softball is an instructional league that introduces new players to the game and provides experienced players an arena to improve their skills and knowledge.

 

The game season runs for 8 weeks: Opening Day is in Early April, ****Tournament in June for 10U and above.*****

BBGC is a 100% volunteer organization and has been since 1963. The club president, athletic director, sports commissioners, board members, coaches, and team parents are all unpaid volunteers.

I hope that you will consider an age group director, head coach, assistant coach when you register your child. Last season, we had over 550 kids spread over 45 travel and recreation teams with an average of 11.5 kids per team. That doesn't happen without you, so thank you in advance!

Parents can choose tball or coach pitch if their player is 6. We recommend if your player hasn't played baseball before they play tball first.

Practices for recreation baseball will start the week of April 8th for children ages 4-14 based on age on 4/30/25. Recreational coaches will set the schedule for when they practice but typically practices are held twice a week with games on Saturday. Children participating in the recreational league will practice and play at area parks and schools located in Bowie and 1 or 2 away games in Cheverly, Clinton, DC, or local PG Parks Fields. Expect to play makeup games from rain-outs during the week in lieu of practice when possible.

Baseball shirts and caps are included with your purchase and will be given to the coach, so please ensure that you select your player's jersey and baseball cap size while registering.

The regular season will end the weekend of June 14th.
